This motif resembles the Almond (Paisley) pattern, but due to a slight variation in form, it is known as the “Awjaya.” Its distinctive curved, teardrop-like shape gives it a sense of movement and flow. The motif traces its origins back to ancient Persia, where it symbolized the Tree of Life and immortality. It later appeared on luxurious Kashmiri shawls, becoming an icon of elegance and refinement in both Eastern and Western cultures alike.

The fabric is woven from 100% natural silk threads using the Jacquard technique, celebrated for its exceptional quality. The intricate designs are woven directly into the fabric rather than printed afterward, meaning the motif is an integral part of the weave and visible on both sides. This ensures the patterns remain clear, vivid, and long-lasting. The texture is extremely soft, the appearance rich and luxurious, and the material is medium-weight, durable, and resistant to wear and creasing.
