Black is often called the king of colors—a hue that conveys strength and power. The impression it gives depends on the occasion: in the workplace, it suggests confidence and authority; in formal settings, it exudes sophistication; and in times of mourning, it expresses respect and solemnity.

This pattern, known as the Small Almond motif, originated as a design called “boteh” in ancient Persia, where it symbolized the cypress tree, a flower, or a flame. Later, it appeared on luxurious Kashmiri shawls in India and was called Kashmiri. When it reached the Levant, it was given the additional name “Al-Lawza” (the Almond). Eventually, it spread to Europe, where it became known by its Western name “Paisley”, after the Scottish city of Paisley, which became famous for reproducing this motif. In modern times, it represents classic elegance.

The fabric is woven from 100% natural silk threads using the Jacquard technique, renowned for its exceptional quality. The intricate patterns are woven directly into the fabric rather than printed afterward, meaning the motif is part of the textile’s very structure and visible on both sides. This weaving method ensures the designs remain vivid and long-lasting. The texture is exceptionally soft, and the overall look is rich and luxurious. It is a medium-weight, highly durable fabric that resists wear and creasing.
